Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something.

Happy Friday all!

You are reading this because I made it alive thru my medical procedure, but it wasn’t without its trauma-so I took the day off from work. Which I feel immensely guilty about. Geez you think I was an old Italian grandmother or something.

So I’m writing this to you from the comfort of my beautiful living room, on an AMAZING weather day (cool, cloudy, and rainy) and in my sweats. This day is how I always envisioned being a blog writer. Except I would be in Seattle, not Omaha, so I would know the rain and clouds weren’t going to stop anytime soon. Leaving me perfectly comfortable to write whatever came into my brooding mind.

A word about sweats.

I used to be that girl who thought every moment was a moment I should be dressed for. I wasn’t much of a sports player, so I really never appreciated the “sports wear” lifestyle or sweats. Those girls in college were scary and could probably beat you up while drinking a handle of Captain. Then while I was in college, the “juicy sweat” fad came into the world. You know, the sweat pants with the random adjective spread across the ass? I was quite prone to picking things with the word “Angel”. In retrospect, I was doing it because I loved the Aerosmith song and I hoped people would associate me with the love that radiated from that song. Of course the fact that the song was about 20 years old and no one in college would have ever listened to the song didn’t seem to flaw my logic at the time. Then, one visit to my parents house, and a night where my sweats were in the wash, I tried my mom’s old PT sweats from the army. I’ve never looked back. Now I LIVE in sweats any chance I get. And even though the army doesn’t carry this type of sweatpants anymore I still wear them enough to make Seth pray they start falling apart. I figure he would want me to be comfy and pleasant then made up and crabby. He’s a farm boy anyway, I’m sure he is more relaxed when I am laid back-his family is anyway.

Presenting!

So as teased yesterday-Our Heavy Baggage Blogger Carrie has started her own blog! You can find it here- http://carriehalfassed.blogspot.com/ Show her some love! She said she would be making a blog post here to introduce it to you all, but I thought you lovely lovelies would make sure to show her some encouragement because it’s hard enough to have to write about weight loss and the road to improvement-throw on top of that the stress of trying to come up with a blog post about it…well every blogger loves comments. Even the porny ones. That usually means they aren’t shouting into a dark hole. And everyone likes to think someone is listening.

Avast!

Alright friends! It’s going to be a stressful, but good weekend. I hope you all have a good one, and don’t worry, I’ll be back Monday to chat all about mine.

Love (sweats, rainy days, and blogs)

Carrie
